Meet OneCoWork Member Yasmin Zappa, a "runderful" onboarding specialist and Switzerland native here to share with us a little more about her hobbies, career path, and more!
Hola Yasmin! Tell us about you and your interests!
Hola! I'm originally from Geneva, Switzerland. I love running because it makes me feel “runderful", which, if you didn't already know, is how you feel immediately after finishing a run. I also enjoy pottery because it is therapeutic and I love having customised bowls and plates at home.
Share a little bit about your career journey…
I always knew I wanted to work around people, which is why I studied Psychology and following a career in HR was the right thing to do for me. However, since starting at OSM, I discovered my love for the aviation industry.
I currently work as an onboarding specialist, so I basically help new pilots with all the documentation necessary to join a new airline.
If you were a cocktail, what would you be?
Ooh! I would have to be a caipirinha because It reminds me of my country Brazil. By drinking it, I feel like a part of me is there.
Can you offer our readers a solid book recommendation?
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It's an empowering book that will help you have a positive mindset and maintain motivation to pursue your goals. If you have positive thoughts, you will attract positive things in your life. You can get it on amazon, here.
What are some words to live by:
“We must become the change we wish to see in the world” – Mohandas (Mahatma) Gandhi. I believe that we need to be courageous and if we want to change something in our lives, we need to start the change. Do not wait around and expect things to change by themselves.
What's your favorite place to spend time in OneCoWork?
My favourite place is the terrace. I love going up there to get fresh air and also go for lunch. It is where I can feel the sun.
