I'm Lily, a trilingual, city-hopping freelance writer and translator who has a passion for all things urban and a background in marketing and communications. After studying French and Spanish at the University of Cambridge, I realised that my true calling was cities and sustainability and so I moved to Barcelona, an internationally-renowned smart city, to follow my dreams. I love reading, cooking, singing loudly in my flat (when nobody's around), going to the beach, drinking damn limóns and doing yoga.
... AND PROFESSIONALLY?
Now, I am currently the resident smart cities expert and a freelance content-creator at Bourbon Creative. I have worked for a luxury goods company in Paris, in the marketing sector, for a European urban security thinktank and for the Catalonian government; now I work with several European organizations as a freelance writer, translator, and transcreator, working mainly on texts related to strategic marketing, smart cities and urbanism. I am also in the process of setting up a blog on cities (https://urbanome.space/) - so hit me up if you're good at Wordpress (I am not) or if you would like to contribute an article, poem, photo, or piece of art - anything is welcome!
